Federation of Indigenous Women of Nepal in America (FIWNA) proudly celebrates the successful completion of its 24th Interaction Series, a remarkable journey of learning, dialogue, empowerment, and community engagement conducted from April 2025 to May 2026.

Over the course of 24 sessions, FIWNA brought together 24 distinguished speakers from diverse professional, academic, and community backgrounds to share their expertise and experiences on issues that matter deeply to Indigenous communities and immigrant populations. The series served as a dynamic platform for knowledge-sharing, cultural preservation, leadership development, and advocacy.

Under the theme "Empowering Communities Through Knowledge, Culture, Human Rights, Mental Health, and Indigenous Self-Governance," the sessions covered a wide range of important topics, including:

  • Indigenous Rights and Human Rights
  • Customary Self-Governance Systems
  • Indigenous Leadership and Participation
  • Mental Health and Well-being
  • Youth Development
  • Disability Rights
  • Domestic Violence Awareness
  • AI and Indigenous Peoples
  • Community Empowerment
  • Cultural Preservation and Identity

Throughout the series, participants engaged in meaningful discussions on Indigenous knowledge systems, women's leadership, mental health awareness, human rights advocacy, cultural heritage, and contemporary challenges facing Indigenous communities both in Nepal and across the diaspora.

The Interaction Series featured renowned scholars, researchers, activists, educators, community leaders, mental health professionals, and advocates whose contributions enriched the learning experience for participants worldwide. Their dedication and willingness to share their knowledge helped create an inclusive environment where ideas, experiences, and solutions could be openly exchanged.

FIWNA extends its heartfelt gratitude to all speakers, moderators, participants, advisors, supporters, and volunteers whose commitment made this initiative possible. Special appreciation goes to Moderator Ms. Indira Chongbang for skillfully facilitating the sessions and helping foster engaging and productive conversations.

As FIWNA marks this important milestone, the organization reaffirms its commitment to empowering Indigenous women and communities through education, advocacy, leadership development, and cultural preservation. The success of the 24-session series demonstrates the power of collective learning and community collaboration in building stronger, more informed, and resilient communities.

FIWNA looks forward to continuing this meaningful journey and creating more opportunities for dialogue, empowerment, and positive change in the years ahead.
